i walk around in a kimono
with a lacroix
i drive in trashed cars
to matinee screenings of
kong: skull island
i cry in the bathroom
one man or another buys a bottle of
skin contact
sicilian wine
the sommelier says
this one is challenging
WEEKEND BEFORE HE COMES HOME
two teaspoons of yogurt
in the morning
camel lites
the plants are turning yellow
even the succulents

The smaller observations and personal moments made it much easier to picture the experience, and they gave the city a personality that doesn't always come across in travel guides. It reminded me that the most memorable places are often defined by little details rather than famous landmarks. It also made me think about how people search for all kinds of information depending on what they're going through, whether it's planning a trip or looking up Do My Dissertation during a particularly busy academic week. I'm curious if March has remained your favorite time to visit…
